What a recommendation means
We compare the documented connection, required parts, hardware controls and desk fit for a stated gaming task. We do not publish listening scores or measured background-noise claims without repeatable original tests.
Product and platform references
The initial catalog uses manufacturer manuals and product pages, together with Discord, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo support. The evidence snapshot is dated September 7, 2026. Exact models and console variants remain separate.
How choices are ordered
Start with a supported connection for the selected platform. Then compare the parts already included, mute and monitoring controls, and a workable mounting position. Price inputs are your own complete-basket quotes; fewest parts does not mean lowest price.
When support may have changed
Product software and chat services change. We recheck app and console instructions after their recorded monthly review dates, and stable product specifications after their recorded quarterly or six-month review dates. Once a date expires, the catalogue and checker stop treating that evidence as current, including on an already-open page. Missing, invalid and future dates require rechecking. Historical profiles remain readable and your own measurements and quotes stay yours.
Limits of the comparison
A USB connector does not prove console microphone support. We do not turn manufacturer noise suppression claims into sound-quality verdicts. Product photos require specific reuse permission; original diagrams show connections rather than simulated product photographs.
Corrections
A report should identify the exact model, connection and platform, plus the affected page. We retain source references alongside each fact and update conclusions when documentation changes. Use the contact page; delivery is held in this review build.
