What each one stops
Plosives are puffs of air from P and B sounds that hit the mic and thump. A pop filter is a mesh or fabric screen a few centimetres in front of the mic that breaks the puff up before it arrives. A foam windscreen is a sleeve over the mic's head that softens it at the mic itself.
Which one for game chat
A foam cover suits a dynamic mic or a mic you keep a hand's width away: it's light, stays out of your view and doesn't change how an arm balances. A pop filter suits a condenser you talk into very close, or a voice that pops a lot. Many mics already have one built in or in the box, such as the Elgato Wave Neo's pop filter or the foam on the Shure MV7+.
The free fix first
Angle the mic slightly so you talk across it rather than straight into it, and move back a little. Most popping stops. Record a sentence full of P sounds in the mic test before and after to hear the difference.
Put your choice into a working setup.
Check the exact platform, connection and required controls. Then measure the stand or arm position before adding mounting parts.
